This is told from the brides pov: I had a lot of tears and lessons leading up to us meeting. I went to fashion school and nursing school early in adulthood. Both of which fell apart, but a friend who I had met at my first college convinced me to become an EMT. I thought she was insane. My anxiety could never let me do the job! She convinced me and I was happily working as an EMT for awhile. I then got an offer to either be an EMT that does exclusively 911 or train in new EMT's (which paid a little more than I was making originally). I chose the extra money and started as an FTO. I then met one of my trainee's. He worked at Allina with me, but also worked at Fridley fire. He set me up on a blind date with a man named Royce. I was SO nervous. I had no idea what he looked like and I was terrified to go on a date with a random man. We met up at Punch Bowl Social and our first date lasted 3.5 hours. For any of you who know what Punch Bowl Social is, you'd think that we played games in that time. We didn't touch a single game and talked the entire time. We went on our second date not too long after, and I embarrassed the living daylights out of myself playing mini golf. I swore he'd never want to see me again after nearly taking out a table of people as well as the group in front of us with a golf ball. He kept calling me back, and I knew by date 3, he was the one. He made it through the death of a coworker, paramedic school, endometriosis flares/surgeries, etc. He asked me to move in with him and I was hesitant due to me being in school at the time and he said "If we can make it through this together, we can make it through the rest of life together." I knew from that moment that we could do anything together. We are so excited to start our life together and we cannot wait to celebrate our love with the ones who have loved and supported us throughout our entire lives as individuals and now together as a couple. Each and every one of you is a gift and we can't wait to celebrate!
