Wedding Party

Keona Ford

Maid of Honor

It is truly an honor and a blessing to stand beside my sister as her Maid of Honor on her wedding day. Briana and I are only three years apart, with her being the oldest, and we grew up side by side—sharing a love for fashion, hair, and makeup while making so many special memories together. Watching her grow into the strong, compassionate woman she is today has been such a beautiful journey. She has always had a naturally loving and caring heart, which is exactly what led her to become a nurse. I still remember when she was getting ready for her first date with Roy. It was a virtual FaceTime date because they were living in two different states at the time—and he even had food delivered to her to make the night special. When I talked to her the next day, she told me the date went really well, but at the time, I didn’t realize this would be the man she would one day marry. Since then, I’ve seen how happy Roy makes her and how safe and comfortable she feels with him. They truly are best friends, and it brings me so much joy to witness their love. From this beautiful union, I am not only gaining a brother, but also two beautiful nieces, which makes this moment even more special for our family. I am beyond happy for them, grateful to see God continue to bless their journey, and excited to watch where this next chapter of life will take them together.

Amanda Sherow

Matron of Honor

Briana and I have been best friends for over 10 years, and truthfully, she’s more like my sister. We met in nursing school and built a bond through long nights, big dreams, hard seasons, and so many prayers answered. She has seen every version of me, and I’ve seen every version of her, and through it all, our friendship and bond has only strengthened. From our love for traveling, Beyoncé, makeup, and fashion, to the quiet moments where we just get each other, Briana has always been my safe place and my person. What makes this even more special is that she’s marrying Roy, who is my husband’s best friend so our families and our hearts have been connected long before this day. Watching my best friend walk into a love that covers her, protects her, and honors her is something I don’t take lightly. I am so proud of the woman she is, so grateful for the sisterhood we share.  I’m beyond honored to stand by her side as she becomes a wife. This moment is bigger than a wedding, it’s a blessing.

Lafonda Corprew

Bridesmaid

Hi, I’m Fonda-one of the bride’s good friends. I’m overjoyed to be standing by my amazing friend on her special day. I met Briana and Amanda over a decade ago in nursing school. Matter of fact we sat next to each other on the first day. I was thinking who is the girl with the red lipstick. “She is cute”. Life has a funny way of bringing the right people together at the right time. Over the years, we enjoyed countless laughs, working together, and unforgettable trips. I am so blessed to celebrate this new chapter in her life. I wish you and Roy a lifetime of love, and laughter.

My name is La Dayasia, formerly known as the "turn up queen" in the crew. I knew Briana for a while before we became good friends as she was my sister's friend. Briana and I began to develop a bond in 2013 when we were placed in the same class in nursing school where we graduated together in 2014. From there we began creating everlasting memories on our girls trip along with the crew (Lafonda and Amanda). Briana is someone who I call a true friend. I'm so happy that she found her person and honored to be a part of her special day. Here's to love, laughter, and a lifetime of happiness X.O.X.O La Dayasia "Turn up Queen"

Breland Stanley

Best Man

I’ve never called my brother Roy because he’s always been Edward to me every since I could remember. We’re a little over three years apart and we grew up really close. I’m excited to be able to share in this moment with him and Briana and I’m even happier to see how they’ve grown together and persevered for their union even while living in different states at times. I like being able know that she indeed makes him better and I can’t think of anyone else I’d be so honored as to call my sister. When the family first met her she fit right in and always felt like family from the beginning. Edward deserves someone caring and loving and so do my beautiful little nieces. I’m proud of the man he has become and love to see that fresh spark and glimmer in his eyes when he talks about her that wasn’t there before. I can’t wait to be able to see him attempt to hold back the tears as he pretends not to be a big softy on the inside.

Christopher Sherow

Groomsman

I have known Roy since 1993, growing up I never would have imagined that he would become a lifelong brother. What started as a neighborhood friendship quickly grew into a bond built on loyalty, hustle, and staying solid. Roy has always been dependable, forward-thinking, and passionate. Roy and I grew up side-by-side chasing dreams, learning hard lessons, getting money, and looking to the our future. Even though we did not join the Navy together as planned, he joined about a year later. We even served in Iraq together. Even though he has retired, the sacrifices he has made and commitment he has shown speaks volumes about the man he is. Through every season of life, we have remained solid and supported each other. I met Briana years before Roy did, when she was in nursing school with my wife, Amanda. From the start, she stood out as sincere, driven, and genuinely kind, qualities that have proven true over time. It’s no surprise that Briana and Amanda have remained best friends since 2010. When Roy and Briana connected after our wedding their journey began. They balance each other effortlessly. She brings independence, ambition, and grace. Roy treats her like royalty and matches her drive with his own independence, ambition and stability. I am honored to stand beside Roy, not just as a groomsman, but as a lifelong friend who has witnessed the journey from boys across an alley to men building legacy.

Groomsman

I remember transferring to Northside Elementary, and that was the 1st time I met Roy.  We initially met on the basketball court during recess, and I didn't know much more of him other than he was quicker than he looked and can hit a backboard shot like it was nothing. Fast forward a few years when we was attending middle school, I was riding my bike through the alley and I ran into Roy and Chris playing basketball in the driveway. I stopped and said I wanted to hop in on a game of 21 and from there we made it an often occurrence. That occurrence built the foundation of what manifested this friendship/family for the last 22 years. We've been through the streets of DFW, boot camp, to overseas and all across the states, and every time we get together, it seems as if we never miss a beat! Briana has become family and I've never seen Roy more happy. I believe their relationship is what true love looks like. I wish them both the best for the rest of their lives together! Can't wait until the big day to come and I plan enjoy every moment of your celebration of marriage!  Good luck yall two! -Ant

Groomsman

From the moment I met Roy, I knew things were going to be different. We hit it off over cars and tasting tequila, and how Ford trucks are the best and what started as a polite introduction quickly grew into a genuine, effortless friendship. It’s rare to find someone who fits into the family dynamic so seamlessly, but he truly feels like the brother I didn't know I was missing. Seeing the way he looks at Briana with a level of respect and kindness that she’s always deserved makes me realize how lucky we all are to have him in our lives. Watching their relationship grow has been one of my favorite highlights of the last few years. My sister Briana is my world, and seeing her this radiant and secure is all I’ve ever wanted for her. As the wedding day approaches, I’m not just excited for a celebration; I’m genuinely moved to see two people who are so right for each other make it official. I couldn't be prouder to stand by their side as they start this next chapter.
