We’re getting Married!

Our story began with a “SUPER LIKE” from Mario to me. For those who do not know what a “SUPER LIKE” is, it is a feature on a dating app to stand out more to the potential match, so if a “LIKE” is given back, “IT’S A MATCH”. Once we matched we messaged and talked on the phone which led to us meeting in person. On February 14,2020, we met at a Starbucks close to work in El Segundo for the first time. We found out we have a lot more in common than we thought. That afternoon we met at the beach at sunset to do a 4 mile run. In the middle of our run we stopped at Redondo Beach Pier to walk around and enjoy the scenery and that’s where we had our first kiss. After we survived the run, I had some plans to go out that evening with some friends for Valentine’s Day, and I asked Mario if he would like to join us. To my surprise he showed up and we all went to Hermosa Beach had some drinks and danced the night away. After that night Mario and I would meet for lunch on our lunch breaks, we’d go for dinner or to the gym in the evenings, we’d even wake up super early in the morning to go for runs. Anytime we had a moment to see each other we always found a way to make it happen. Then about a month after dating the COVID shut down happened, and we believe it allowed us to get to know each other a lot faster than what we anticipated. We got to spend a lot of time getting to know one another, and when the time was right we introduced our daughters (who have a great relationship) and now do everything as a family. And that’s where it all began….
