Roxie and Antoine began manifesting their love story long before they met. In 2011, Roxie began a long, and heart-filled process of determining what she wanted in herself and her ideal partner. By the year before they met, she had a very clear image in her head of who Antoine would be. She imagined he would be a tall, caring man who worked with children in some capacity; she thought maybe a teacher, father, or coach (she never dreamed he would be all three); someone who loved his family and always treated those around him with respect; someone with kind eyes and a warm engaging personality; someone looking for a partner to build their life with, not necessarily someone with it all figured out already (where’s the fun in that?); an artistic, deep thinker, with a big heart; she even had a feeling he would be bald, and loved it about him before they even met; and above all else, someone who would make her feel like more than he had ever hoped for in a partner. Antoine too was just becoming clear on what he wanted in his partner when he met Roxie, and he remembers becoming completely sure she was "it" one late night in DC after dropping off a friend at the airport; he was looking for a partner who’s inner beauty shined as bright as her smile; someone who would love him and his son as her own family from early on; someone who was passionate about helping people and giving back to her community; someone artistic and poetic; someone who was loving, patient, and kind; someone to build his empire alongside, who would believe in him as much as she believed in herself; and someone who felt like "home". Roxie and Antoine went on their first date March 24th 2016 and both remember thinking being together "felt like home." The rest is history, now they are tying the knot officially on 10/10/2020 ooops err.... We mean 5/22/2021!
