We're getting Maui'D!

Our love story began in February 2023, on a day that was special to both of us in different ways. It was Roxey’s birthday, and she decided to take a spontaneous trip to Gilbert, Arizona, to celebrate with her family. Little did she know, fate had a wonderful surprise in store for her! That same Thursday evening, Sonny, a ministerial worker living in Tucson, was assigned to officiate the worship service in Gilbert. As Roxey arrived at the chapel, her sister, Roe, suggested a lovely idea: why not ask her father-in-law to pray for Roxey on her special day? Roxey was thrilled with the idea, and when they arrived, Roe's father-in-law immediately agreed. He suggested, however, that the one preaching should offer the prayer instead. And so, Sonny prayed for Roxey that night, surrounded by her family. In that moment, a spark ignited, but neither of them knew that their families and mutual friends had quietly been orchestrating their meeting for over a year. When asked about a potential setup, Sonny always said, “If I’m meant to meet her, I will meet her.” Little did he know, God was already aligning their paths. After that fateful evening, their friends and family encouraged them to connect, and when Sonny sent Roxey her first text, the magic truly began. Their conversations were quickly filled with laughter, excitement, and heartfelt connection, revealing the depth of their bond. Nine months later, amidst the love and support of both their families, Sonny proposed, marking the beginning of their journey toward forever. Now, a year later, they are joyfully planning their wedding in beautiful Maui, ready to celebrate their love story with all of you. Through it all, they have faithfully believed that God was working behind the scenes, crafting a beautiful narrative just for them.
