Our story may sound like a classic “boy meets girl,” but the magic lies in the details. We first met in our university dining hall, where a mutual friend introduced us. I was instantly intrigued, though Roxanne’s quiet composure that night left me wondering if she just wasn’t interested. Little did I know that this calm stranger would become the love of my life. When we met again, Roxanne’s warmth and wit began to shine through, and I quickly realized she was everything I’d been praying for. It didn’t take long for me to ask her out, and on February 14, 2020, Valentine’s Day, our story officially began. From university days to a year and a half of long distance, we’ve grown through every season together. Distance taught us to be intentional, to cherish every call, every laugh, every prayer shared across time zones. With God’s grace, what once felt like an obstacle became our greatest strength. Nearly 6 years later, we now live in the same city again and are joyfully planning our wedding, ready to stand before God and our loved ones to declare our love and lifelong commitment.
