We're getting married!

Told by Roxan: After long phone calls and many texts, Manuel asked me out on our first date on May 4th, and the force has been with us ever since! The plan was to go for coffee and watch Star Wars, but we spent the whole day together just talking and laughing. For dinner, we went to a Korean BBQ where we "gently" got kicked out because we stayed too long talking after finishing our meal (core memory now!). After a month or so, Manuel took me on a sweet dinner date, and asked me to be his girlfriend (finally!), just kidding :). Ever since we have made every second together count, talking and daydreaming about our future goals, making plans, and praying that this would be the start of an endless journey together. His noble heart, his sweet smile, and gentle soul make me fall in love with him in the little and big moments we've shared so far. In March, he made my prayers of a lifetime come true as he kneeled on one knee next to the gorgeous Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was so calm that I never suspected he would have the most stunning pearl ring of my dreams in his pocket. I cried ( of course!) and said YES! When I think about our story, I can see God leading us to this moment. From the moment I met him Manuel has made me feel safe, protected, and at peace. I have never laughed harder, smiled bigger, or loved more unconditionally than with him. My story has been filled with divine appointments, but so far Manuel has been the sweetest, most fun divine appointment I have had. A girl from Honduras met a boy from El Salvador thousands of miles away from their home countries. We had been in the same state for years, but our paths did not cross until it was God's time. Again... divine appointment! We are happy to share this special moment with you, reading this, as we get ready to share our love in a special celebration. We are thankful for the love, support, and constant encouragement of those who have been part of our story. See you soon, and may the force be with you!

Relatada por Roxan: Después de largas llamadas telefónicas y muchos mensajes, ¡Manuel me invitó a nuestra primera cita el 4 de mayo (una fecha conocida por los fanaticos de Star Wars) , y la fuerza ha estado con nosotros desde entonces! El plan era tomar un café y ver Star Wars, pero pasamos todo el día juntos simplemente hablando y riendo. Para la cena, fuimos a un restaurante de BBQ coreano donde nos “sacaron amablemente” porque nos quedamos demasiado tiempo platicando después de terminar nuestra comida (¡un recuerdo que ahora llevamos en el corazón!). Después de aproximadamente un mes, Manuel me llevó a una dulce cita para cenar y me pidió que fuera su novia (¡por fin!), es broma :). Desde entonces hemos hecho que cada segundo juntos cuente, hablando y soñando despiertos sobre nuestras metas futuras, haciendo planes y orando para que este sea el comienzo de un viaje eterno juntos. Su corazón noble, su dulce sonrisa y su alma gentil me hacen enamorarme de él en cada pequeño y gran momento que hemos compartido. En marzo, hizo realidad las oraciones de toda mi vida cuando se arrodilló junto a la hermosa Capilla Conmemorativa Mildred B. Cooper en Bella Vista, Arkansas. Estaba tan tranquilo que nunca sospeché que tenía en su bolsillo el anillo de perlas más hermoso que jamás había soñado. Lloré (¡por supuesto!) y le dije ¡SÍ! Cuando pienso en nuestra historia, puedo ver cómo Dios nos ha guiado hasta este momento. Desde que lo conocí, Manuel me ha hecho sentir segura, protegida y en paz. Nunca me había reído tanto, sonreído tan grande, o amado tan incondicionalmente como con él. Mi historia ha estado llena de citas divinas, pero hasta ahora Manuel ha sido la más dulce y divertida de todas. Una chica de Honduras conoció a un chico de El Salvador a miles de kilómetros de sus países de origen. Estuvimos en el mismo estado durante años, pero nuestros caminos no se cruzaron hasta que fue el momento de Dios. Una vez más... ¡una cita divina! Nos llena de alegría compartir este momento tan especial contigo, que estás leyendo esto, mientras nos preparamos para celebrar nuestro amor en una ocasión muy especial.
