Things To Do

Hanalei Bay

HI

Hanalei Bay is our favorite beach on the island (and the world.) The town itself is charming with fun shops, surf/beach gear rentals, and great spots to eat. We especially like Hanalei Bread Company for breakfast and coffee (get there early to avoid long lines!) and AMA ramen shop for dinner (which has unbelievable views of the mountains and waterfalls around Hanalei.)

Poipu Beach

Koloa, HI 96756

Poipu is a great beach for snorkeling and seeing fish, it's especially good for young children because the bay is well protected with small waves. You can buy fish food at a surf shop across the street and bring all the fish to you as you snorkel! Poipu is on the South side of Kauai, about a 1.5 hour drive from Princeville, so make a day of it! There are plenty of restaurants and a shopping center nearby. (We recommend Bubba's Burgers in The Shops at Kukui‘ula shopping center. It's a classic Kauai spot!)

Anaina Hou Community Park

5-2723 Kuhio Highway, Kilauea, HI 96754
, (808) 828-2118

This is a lovely community spot in Kilauea (10 minutes away from Princeville.) There are food trucks, a playground, weekly Fire Shows, a Paint & Sip experience, and our favorite Mini-Golf in a beautiful botanical garden.

Captain Andy's Kauai Boat Tours

We did their Raft Na Pali Snorkel Adventure and had a blast! It was physically tasking and very fun!
