The short answer: dressy casual. E.g. khaki shorts, button down, summer dresses. The long answer: Jack and the groomsmen will be wearing suits, Haley will be wearing a wedding dress. We plan to change into comfier clothes after the ceremony. We hope that you all wear summery dressy casual clothes for the whole evening (ceremony, reception, and dinner), but if you feel more comfortable wearing dressy clothes and changing too, that's fine! We want everyone to be comfortable, and we're not very concerned about everyone being dressed any certain way.
Yes, the property allows dogs! Friendly, well-behaved dogs are invited for the weekend. There's a huge field and hiking trails that dogs will love. Some important notes: there is a pretty fast road running through the middle of the property. Off-leash dogs are fine, but the dogs need to be supervised to avoid any safety problems with the road. There will be other dogs there - including the property owner's two dogs - so if you're bringing your dog it needs to be friendly with others! And finally the dogs need to be ok left alone (like for the ceremony).
Of course! There will be lots of outdoor games to play all weekend, so we think kids will have a fun time. Important safety notes: there is a large road in the middle of the property, a sizable river and a creek, and the dinner/dancing is on the second floor of a barn.
There is a river and a back field where we are allowed to have as many people set up tents as they want! There will be porta-potties to use, and those who camp can have access to the houses on the property for food storage and showers. There is also space to park campers/RVs in the back field as well.
Friday night we will have a cook out (classic grill foods) for anyone who's in town (but it'll be BYOB). Saturday breakfast and lunch you're on your own, Saturday evening we will have appetizers, drinks, and taco dinner for the wedding. Sunday morning we will have bagels for everyone.
Bring lawn chairs and/or a lawn game if you can!
