The First Day

March 16, 2009

Rebecca walked into her house with a bouquet of flowers. She was beaming, ear to ear. Nikki asked, "Are those for me?" Dazed and confused, Rebecca responded, "NO! Dave asked me to be his girlfriend, at the end of the driveway!" Little did Dave know, March 16th was Nikki's birthday. This later turned into a running joke.

The Proposal

March 30, 2019

The first 70 degree day of the season had the girls planning a fun day of sipping sangria in the sunshine. However, Dave had other plans in store. Dave called Rebecca early that morning and asked if she wanted to go out to lunch before spending the day with everyone. Rebecca said no, and threw a wrench in his "plan". That didn't stop him though. He decided they should go on a walk since it was so nice out. Dave drove to Rebecca’s house and they walked up the street, enjoying the beautiful weather! As they arrived back in front of Rebecca’s house, she decided to get the mail. Dave told her he was going to get egg cartons out of his car. Rebecca thought that was odd because the chickens haven't laid eggs in months, but didn't really think anything of it. As Rebecca turned around after getting the mail, Dave was standing at the end of the driveway with a homemade cake saying, "Will You Marry Me?"

Full Circle

Connecting the dots... -Dave asked Rebecca to Senior Prom, to be his Girlfriend, and to be his Wife all at the end of my DRIVEWAY! -Dave decided he could no longer take away from Nikki's birthday, and proposed 10 years and two weeks later! -Dave baked Rebecca a cake because she LOVES baking!
