Flight
The closest airport to Seattle is Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac). It is located about 15 miles from the wedding venue/downtown Seattle. There is a lightrail train that picks up at the airport and drops off at King Street Station, Pioneer Square, Westlake Center, Capital Hill and the University District (to name a few common/useful stops). The lightrail is an excellent way to get into the city without fighting traffic or paying big Uber dollars.
Train
If you're traveling from Oregon, Eastern Washington or Northern Montana, the Amtrak is an excellent option. The Empire Builder will drop you at King Street Station, which is just a few short blocks from the venue and VERY close to many hotels/Airbnbs/etc. There is also a lightrail station near the train station if you want to hop to another part of town after disembarking from the train. I (Nicole) have personally ridden the train many times back to Montana and I find it quite lovely. The scenery is beautiful and it's a very relaxing way to travel.
Rental Car
SeaTac Airport, King Street Train Station and ALL of Seattle is full of options if you don't plan to bring your own vehicle. I recommend downloading the Uber AND Lyft apps (sometimes one is significantly cheaper than the other) if you don't plan to rent a car. ReachNow (BMW's car share service) is another great option that is usually slightly cheaper since you drive the car yourself! Car to Go and Lime Cars are also options similar to ReachNow, but I've only personally used ReachNow so I can't really speak for the others.
House Or Rental
There are TONS of Airbnb (and VRBO/HomeAway/CanadaStays etc.) options in Seattle. Recommended locations include Pioneer Square (where the wedding/reception is being held), Downtown Seattle (close enough to walk or a short drive to the venue), Capital Hill (lots of fun, good food and a light rail stop away from the venue), West Seattle (where we live! Which is just a quick Water Taxi ride to Pioneer Square/downtown area & also about a 10 minute car ride from the venue).
