Rowan and Lexi’s story began long before they ever officially started dating. They went to the same high school and had known of each other for years, but it wasn’t until 8th grade that fate gave them a little nudge. Lexi was chosen for the May Day Court and had her eye on Rowan, but was far too nervous to ask him to escort her herself. Instead, she recruited a friend to do the asking. While nothing came of it at the time (besides a couple very awkward conversations) the moment quietly planted the seed. Fast forward to after Lexi’s 16th birthday party, when she finally worked up the courage to message Rowan on Snapchat with a casual (and very strategic) “thank you for the card.” Thanks to her best friend Emma who pushed her to send the text. Rowan definitely caught on to the flirting, but instead of rushing things, they started out as friends, hanging out in groups and getting to know each other naturally. Then, on March 29th, 2021, during their 11th-grade year, Rowan officially asked Lexi to be his girlfriend. From that moment on, everything just clicked. What started as a shy middle-school crush grew into a love that lasted through endless dates and laughs, countless basketball games, soccer games, and track meets, school dances, and all the big milestones in between. Even as life took them to separate colleges, they continued choosing each other every single day. They quickly got excited at planning the next time they would get to see each other and made every effort to make it soon. On August 17th, 2025, Rowan surprised Lexi with a trip to Tennessee. What she thought was just a getaway to her favorite place quickly became the moment that changed everything. When Rowan got down on one knee and asked Lexi to spend forever with him. She said yes. And now, the rest truly is history.
