Rowan and Kira met online in the middle of the pandemic. After a month of sharing stories about their lives through constant texts and video calls, they decided to meet for the first time in a small park in Blacksburg. Rowan showed up with a bouquet of flowers and the two of them quickly hit it off over some accidentally awful Italian food. Shortly after, Kira moved to the Blacksburg area for school, and the two of them became inseparable. In 2022, Kira was still working on her degree while, despite having graduated in the spring, Rowan decided to stay in the area for another year. It was this moment that they both realized that this relationship was deeper than either of them had experienced before. Once Kira graduated, Rowan accepted a job in Washington state, and the two of them began a great adventure together. It was on their 4th anniversary that Rowan asked Kira to marry him (she said yes!) and now they are very excited to share this next step with all of their close friends and family.
