Thanking our Lucky Stars!

Gotta Catch 'Em All

To us this is more than a wedding, this is a celebration involving all of our friends and family! Each and everyone of you is special to us and have helped in so many ways! So for that we say Thank you! Whether you have helped us great or small every effort is appreciated! We would like to give a Special shout out to our parents: Therese and Don Roush; Melva and Fred Peterson for all their love and support over the many months of planning. Without all of you this wedding would not be what it is today! We would like to say thanks to our amazing wedding party for volunteering to assist for two ENTIRE days to help take care of essential before, during and after the wedding to prevent us from going crazy. Thanks so much for not loosing your cool as things become more complicated and challenging to make this a wonderful event. We realize that you will experience pain in your cheeks from smiling in the millions of photos you will be in, but keep on smiling you all have a wonderful smile. Lastly, for sacrificing your time, body and most of all your livers by dancing, eating drinking and partying all night long! As a special shout out we would like to thank Erik Troyer for sacrificing his wife, children, and OSU football game so that his favorite sister-in-law could have an amazing and magical day! Go Bucks! We would like to give a shout out to everyone from Troy Community Theatre who made our proposal one that will last in our memories each time we have curtain calls! It was truly an experience we will never forget! We would like to give a special thanks to everyone who helped us in the many ways of "therapy" or advice. To Deron Jones, Autumn Rivet, Chelsey Schott, Jill Dixon, Derek Dunavent, Racheal "Cereal" Tingley who were there during the planning and personal support when we needed it! Finally, realize that we want to thank each and everyone who help, supported, assisted, worked with us and most of all was there when we need you.

From Here to Mars

11/21/21

During the final run of "The Tin Woman" at Troy Community Theatre (TCT) the audience was surprised during the curtain call when Cody came out from behind the curtain, got down on one knee and proposed to Michelle . In attendance was Michelle's parents, Cody's Parents, and Michelle's Aunt and Uncle Mary and Hank. How Cody was able to keep this a secret from Michelle, while involving so many people, she will never know. We would like to extend a HUGE thank everyone in attendance cast and crew and the board of directors of TCT for letting Cody to use the stage for to make a moment in our lives that will last forever. For those of you who don't yet know the story of our engagement day let us share a bit with you! That morning Cody was bound and determined to get his hair cut. While he was off doing that he was wondering how he was ever going to sneak the ring and a nice shirt in the car. While Michelle sat at home she got a call from the director that she would be taking the role of the nurse for the final run as the actress had become ill. Cody states that this was the perfect blessing for him as Michelle was distracted gathering clothes for the role and learning the lines, he could get the ring and shirt into the car. Fast forward to the end of the show: After bows for the ceremony, fellow actor, Steve, held Michelle's hand tight refusing to let her leave the stage while the rest of the cast backed away. The lights shifted and music changed. Michelle looking around all confused noticed several people had cameras out and were looking directly at her. Michelle suddenly heard one of their favored songs playing "Here to Mars" by Coheed and Cambria... and she over heard someone whispering "Where is he?" Meanwhile, Cody was back stage calming his nerves and was silently thinking of when he should make his move to the stage to do complete his action plan of making a wedding proposal that anyone witness could talk about in the future. Cody said later he was on nervous "Nelly" until he move out to met his future life companion. Suddenly, the spot light focused on Michelle and Cody made his grand entrance and the rest is history once she said "I do".
