The Wedding Website of Kylie Rouse and Michael Scott
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

You are able to start being seated at the ceremony at 4pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask our guests to wear formal attire. For men, this could include a suit (with tie or no tie), or slacks/dress pants with a blazer/jacket. For women, this includes floor-length or midi-length dresses. The ceremony takes place outside on the lawn, so keep that mind when choosing shoes/heels. Please note that the venue does not permit blue jeans or sneakers.

Question

Can I bring a date or my kids?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with our favorite people! To keep things intimate, we’re only able to accommodate those explicitly named on the invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one or a child, you’ll see their name listed, or it may say “and guest.” If not, we kindly ask that you attend solo and know how much we appreciate you being part of our day.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is free parking at the venue. If you don't want to drive, there are ride share apps (Uber, Lyft), and taxis available.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors. There is a backup plan for an indoor ceremony, if necessary. Cocktail hour will have both indoor and outdoor areas. The reception will take place indoors.

Question

What's the weather typically like in Ocean Isle Beach during September?

Answer

In general, September is very warm and breezy. The average high is 83°F and the average low is 71°F.

Question

Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you join us in being fully present during our ceremony by turning off all phones and cameras. We’ve hired an amazing photographer to capture every moment, so you can sit back, soak it all in, and enjoy the magic with us.

Question

Can I bring my own snacks or drinks?

Answer

Outside food and beverages are strictly prohibited at our venue. Bringing in outside alcohol will terminate the wedding, according to the venue contract.
