Emily's incredible older sister, Sarah, has been by her side since day one—her biggest cheerleader, constant confidante, and partner in all things silly and serious. While they have so many memories from days at the lake, inside jokes or while traveling Europe together Emily's favorite days now are spent with Sarah and her adventurous daughter Marley Moon. Emily truly couldn’t imagine this day without Sarah by her side as Maid of Honor (and hopefully hitting the dance floor).

Best Man
If you’ve ever thought, “Wow, Matt is awesome, I wish there were two of him,” — well, you're in luck. Meet Tim, the groom’s twin brother and Co-best man. We're happy to say between his busy schedule of plumbing and parenting he'll be cutting up the dance floor with us. We couldn't imagine our special night without that big Tim energy!
Shaylene Bannister
Bridesmaid
As best friends going on twenty years, Shaylene has been by Emily's side through every stage of life—from school days and sleepovers to embarrassing preteen days and every big life event in between. After so many years of friendship you'd wonder if they ever run out of things to talk about but yet there is never a dull moment between these two. Emily had the honor of standing beside Shay on her wedding day, and now is lucky to have her return the favour as she says “I do."
Alex Colpitts
Best Man
Nothing says party like having two best men. Alex is the Co-Best man that slid into Matt's DMs in 2011. After that day spent looking at cars, the two have been thick as thieves ever since. Having worked at camp together for a number of years their friendship is built on campfires, skits and lots of laughs. As Matt serves as Alex's best-man this October it's now Alex's time to return the favor!
Morgan McCarthy
Bridesmaid
Being one of Emily's first friends made at university, Morgan has been by her side through all the craziest stages of their 20s. Even their first meeting was a core memory in the making... cue Morgan stuck in line with a crying Emily moments after her family left. Emily is happy to say their friendship only grew and following four years of school; from sharing a crazy uni house to yearly new adventures with baby Winnie; Emily is now ecstatic to have Morgan stand as a bridesmaid on the big day.
Brett Pendergast
Groomsman
Brett is one of Matt's oldest friends, having bonded in kindergarten the two have been getting into shenanigans ever since. While Brett's passion lies with his work at Magnetic Hill Winery he has agreed to take the day to stand with Matt as a groomsman (will be happy to advise all guests on the proper wine pairings as needed). Matt looks forward to having Brett there on the big day and seeing him lighting it up on the dance floor.
Meig Campbell
Bridesmaid
Meig and Emily met in university and instantly bonded over a shared love of Bravo, Wednesday wine night and skipping early classes. Although Meig now lives a big, bold life out in Halifax—where she’s thriving, she has always been there for Emily and willing to take the Maritime bus for a gals weekend. Emily is so lucky to have such a good friend standing by her side (and hitting the dance floor hard) on the big day.
Yassine Rherrab
Groomsman
Yassine is the Moroccan flair that all weddings need. Yassine and Matt attended paramedic school together and continue to remain close both on and off the trucks. Their nickname of "Habibi" can be heard throughout the bases and their coworkers can attest to their codependent friendship, often finding the two dapping each other up. He is also a key element to Tim coming as it's often said "if Yassine isn't going then I'm not." Matt is ecstatic to have such a good pal cheering him on at the wedding.
Emma Gaulton
Bridesmaid
Emma is not only a bridesmaid but also Matt's younger sister and most importantly Emily's friend. While first bonding over their shared love of books (she always has a good recommendation) they quickly became allies within a big family. Despite being a supermom to three busy kids, she always makes time for a good chat, a laugh, and some much-needed perspective. Emily is so grateful to have her as a bridesmaid on this special day.
Toby Locke
Groomsman
Toby; more well know to some of our friends and family as Toaster is one of Matt's closest friends from his time in Alberta. Toby is an Australian adventurer currently living large in Tasmania. Toby cemented himself as a true "bro" when he found out about Matt & Emily's engagement and notified them he would be flying across the world to attending the wedding. We are honored to have him take part in the big day and note that will be Toby's first east coast wedding so we hope to show him how it's done.
Carley Hopper
Bridesmaid
Carley was Emily's very first friend, and she’s been like a sister to her ever since. From endless summer days at the lake to countless laughs and memories over the years, she’s been there through it all. Whether they're playing Uno or baking cookies on Christmas Eve, Carley always brings warmth, joy, and at least one good joke that has everyone laughing. Emily truly can’t imagine this day without Carley by her side—just like she’s always been.
