FAQs

Question

Answer

Please RSVP no later than April 1st.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your RSVP option does not include an additional guest, we ask that you do not bring anyone additionally.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! This is a celebration of two families and communities coming together, and kids are an integral part of that. If your children are not annotated as RSVP options, please reach out to Natasha.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is "Southern Soiree", leaning towards formal or cocktail attire. It’s about being polished and stylish, but with a relaxed elegance that reflects the South’s hospitable charm.

Question

Will I need a rental car?

Answer

The short answer is, yes. Our preferred lodging option is about an hour from Norfolk International Airport. We recommend traveling in groups to share the expense of a rental. We are so grateful for all our friends and family for traveling to a place that is so special to us, and we know you will fall in love with coastal North Carolina, just as we have!

Question

Will transportation be provided to the wedding?

Answer

Yes! There are two transportation options to minimize the need for designated drivers, Ubers, and to reduce the number of cars at the venue. Transportation schedule: 3:30pm from Hilton Garden Inn/Holiday Inn Express and Market Place (Food Lion complex) Return trips will be hourly starting at 8:30pm, and ending at 11:00pm. Market Place - 5539 N Croatan Hwy, Southern Shores, NC Holiday Inn Express - 3915 N Croatan Hwy, Kitty Hawk, NC

Question

"Natasha, how would you spend 72 hours in Norfolk/Virginia Beach/OBX?"

Answer

I am so glad you asked! I recommend adding a day or 2 onto your trip, and seeing all the sights of southeastern Virginia and coastal North Carolina. Drive across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, take a trip to Waterside district in Norfolk (where Joseph and I met), walk down the boardwalk in Virginia Beach, take a Naval Base cruise, stop by Grandy Greenhouse & Farm Market on your way to OBX (try the Boiled Peanuts!) and tour the Wright Brothers National Park... and of course eats lots of BBQ and have an Orange Crush or two. There is so much to see & do here, and we hope your travels capture the unique charm of this area.
