A Latin Mass wedding, also known as a Traditional Latin Rite or Tridentine Mass, is a beautiful and reverent ceremony that follows the Roman Catholic liturgy in Latin. The Mass will be conducted primarily in Latin, though some portions, like the homily and the readings, will be in English. There may be periods of silent prayer and quiet reflection. The atmosphere is typically solemn and respectful. For those who are Catholic, the times we stand, sit, and kneel may be slightly different than you are used to. Modest dress is encouraged. Some women may wear head covering or veils, but this is not mandatory! Communion may be received kneeling and on the tongue at the communion rail.
For those who are not Catholic or practicing, we are excited for you to join us for this traditional Catholic ceremony! We just ask that you remain in your pews during communion.
