Thanks to the help of a couple mutual friends, Jimmy and Alex were introduced in March of 2015 in Cedar Falls, IA. Jimmy at the time was playing basketball and going to school at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, IA, while Alex was attending the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. After the introduction, it was only a matter of time until the roads between Fayette and Cedar Falls became extremely familiar to both of them. After being together for over 2 years, Jimmy and Alex each graduated from their undergrad in 2017. Jimmy then moved to Davenport, IA that same year to start his journey at Palmer College of Chiropractic to become Dr. Roth, and Alex moved back home to Des Moines, IA to take on her first full time job. Although this meant another 3 years of being 170 miles apart, distance never won the battle. On June 29th, 2019, on a VERY HOT day at a winery in Galena, IL, Jimmy got down on one knee and asked Alex the best question she'd ever been asked. After wiping the dripping sweat from his face, she said absolutely (!!!) and the rest is history! We are SO excited to spend the rest of our lives with one another & can't wait for all of our favorite people to be apart of our day on October 17th!
