Each one of you is extremely important to us, and we want to ensure that we can all celebrate this joyous occasion in the safest of atmospheres. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope everyone stays healthy and safe. With Love, Rosse and Nick
December 21st, 2016, Rosse decided to leave Colombia and move to Bloomington, IN, in order to learn a new language and expand her worldview. Bloomington was always on her mind, since her sister had been living there for the last eight years. She was missing her so much, so she knew having some company at this important stage of her life would be great. On the other side, Nick had recently finished his experience volunteering for a year and a half for the Peace Corps in rural Panama. After weighing different options he had for business school, he made the best decision by going to Indiana University in 2016. Why was this the best choice? Well, this is where the real love story started. Rosse was working on fitting into a new country, exploring the magical places in Bloomington, and learning about cultures beyond just the US. On her journey, she had made friends from a lot of countries, but there was something she was still missing, the other half of her heart. One day, Rosse was in her apartment and called her friend from Brazil, Rosse was feeling blue, and wanted to stop by and say hello, and her friend said - "Get dressed up girl, we are going to a Latin party!" Rosse thought - "Dancing? Sign me up!!" Their first meeting was meant to be; Nick (who loved Latin parties too!) walked in, looked at her, and knew that she was the one for him. He invited her to dance, and never let her go after that. However, their first interactions with each other were not too clear. Her English was still on the up and up, and his Spanish was a little rusty, but who needs a language for love? They knew there was a connection right away, and that they were never going to leave each other. On September 7, 2019, Nick proposed to Rosse in Washington DC, with both sides of the family together to witness the lovely moment. Nick and Rosse cannot wait for what comes next as a couple, and are honored to celebrate their marriage with the people who matter the most to them.
