We're getting married!

Their story began at Bosco's Social Club in Waukesha, WI. Steven was out with his friends, Mariah with hers, and thanks to a mutual friend, their paths crossed. They hit it off instantly, talking for hours, and before the night ended, they exchanged numbers—without knowing they had just met their future spouse.

After spending a great day in Lake Geneva, full of good food, delicious wine, beautiful views, and lots of laughs, Steven knew it was the right time. Once they arrived back home, he asked Mariah to be his girlfriend, and of course, she said yes.

Confident in their relationship, Mariah and Steven took the next big step and signed a lease for their first apartment together in Pewaukee—where they created countless memories in the years that followed.

Every year around their birthdays—just five days apart—Mariah and Steven take a long weekend trip to Door County, a tradition they’ve kept for three years. On the first morning, they went to Ridges Sanctuary in Bailey’s Harbor to explore the beach with their metal detector. Mariah ended up finding an old-fashioned bottle opener and walked to the lake to rinse it off. As she did, Steven started talking about how much this place meant to them—and how it was about to mean even more. Next thing she knew, he was down on one knee, holding a ring, and asking her to spend forever with him. It was the perfect way to kick off a weekend spent celebrating their engagement in one of their favorite places.
