The dress code is cocktail for our event, but if you'd like to dress to the nines, feel free! Do plan to dress for the weather, of course. It can be hot still in October in Houston! The venue space is a 128 year old house with an outdoor garden space, so we recommend relatively sensible heels.
We want everyone to have the best time, but due to a tight head count limit, we ask you stick to just the number of RSVP spots we have reserved for you. We also would like to request that kids under 10 stay home (with their favorite sitter, of course). Thanks for your understanding!
There is a very limited parking lot, and that area of town has pretty strict towing enforcement for any surrounding parking lots/street parking. We recommend those who can should take a rideshare to the venue.
The bar IS open up to a certain amount spent, then it will switch to a cash bar if that amount is exceeded. The staff will make it apparent if/when it changes over to cash bar, so you won't have to guess. Bring cash if you'd like to, but it will be open/on us for likely most of the evening!
I know, you're probably used to "chicken, beef, or other?" on the invitation. In true Houstonian style, we are having a taco truck with a buffet of Tex-Mex sides. There will be meat and vegetarian options for the tacos, so there will be something for everyone! Charcuterie will be served during cocktail hour, cake and pastries along with coffee during the reception, and there will be small brick oven baked pizzas for a late night snack.
