Ross and Katarina first met when they both attended Mercersburg Academy for high-school. After knowing each other in passing since freshman year, it wasn't until senior year at Mercersburg that they both became good friends through their mutual "6AM Gym-and-Breakfast" friend group. It was not long after when feelings grew between the two of them. Finally, Katarina worked up enough courage to ask Ross to go to dinner with her at Flannery's and a week later, the two best friends were dating. Although they both were only a mere 17 years old at the time, they each had a feeling this was going to be the beginning of forever. After graduating from Mercersburg, Ross went off to college at Clemson University and Katarina attended Baylor University, thereby beginning their first stint of long-distance. They each spent lots of time in airports flying back and forth to see each other, each one eager to reach a day where there would be no more teary-eyed airport goodbyes. In 2018, Katarina decided to join Ross at Clemson. They attended many a rowdy Clemson football game, Delta Tau Delta fraternity parties, and had many other adventures along the way. Katarina graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing while Ross graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Over the last 2+ years, they've been calling Charlotte, NC home with their 5 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Ollie (the Dog-of-Honor). They love to play golf and pickleball together, travel (anywhere from the Grand Canyon to Sweden), try new restaurants and cuisines, take Ollie on long walks, and, most importantly, just be with each other. Even from the first few months of their relationship, Ross and Katarina have never doubted that they are soulmates. Throughout the past 9 years, they have continued to be each other's best friend, and they attribute that largely to their success as a couple. Now, they can't wait to take on all of life's adventures side-by-side as husband and wife, never forgetting that they were and always will be best friends first.
