If you are still in town on Monday, head to the Crested Butte Center for the Arts' outdoor stage for live music, food, and drink. You can bring in your own food, but outside alcohol is not allowed. The event is free. Bring your own blanket or chairs.
Our favorite! If you love mountain biking or downhill, CB will not disappoint! With over 30 miles of lift-served singletrack! A single-day pass is about $55 (discount for Epic pass holders). Bike rentals vary depending on where you rent and demand that day. It will likely run you $75-130.
This is a fantastic cross-country single-track mountain bike trail that R&H love! It is up to 13 miles of fun! It can also be hiked, however, I would recommend the lower Lupin loop for that. To do the 13-mile bike park at the mountain resort and bike down Gothic Road till Saddle Ridge Ranch Rd. Then bike all the way up that neighborhood to the start of the trail. The end of the Lower Loop will drop you off downtown. Here you can treat yourself to lunch or a drink. Afterward, you can hop on the CB shuttle for free. This will take you and your bikes bike to the mountain resort where you parked.
Crested Butte is home to so many amazing hikes! You can take self-guided hikes or book a hike with a wildflower guide. Here is a list of hikes we would recommend: - Oh Be Joyful: there and back, go as far as you like. Beautiful waterfalls along the river. - Hasley Meadows: There and back. Elevation gain among vast meadows of wildflowers. - Mt. CB summit hike: there and back, 2 miles. Big bang for your buck. Must take the lift for a shorter hike or start at the base of the mountain. Linked is a guide to many more hikes to choose from!
