Daniela and Ross' story began on a warm night in August 2022. They had matched on Hinge a few days before they met up when Daniela was living in Milwaukee and Ross was living in Sheboygan. Ross made his profile a bit of a stretch by saying he lived in Milwaukee, but quickly owned up to this once they started chatting. While this lie might have sounded like a red flag, Daniela figured it was no big deal, he would be the one driving down to Milwaukee for the date, and if it goes South, at least there's a free drink to get out of it. They decided on Tied House in the Third Ward for some specialty cocktails. They chatted for hours on the Tied House patio, talking about family, aspirations, and their favorite foods (duh) and once the place emptied out, they kept the date going by taking a stroll on the Milwaukee Riverwalk. It wasn't long until Daniela and Ross were together again getting sushi or cooking dinner in her apartment, and snuggling up with her dog Reina who historically hated men but seemed to warm up to Ross instantly. After a few more dates and Ross getting thrown to the wolves at Daniela's birthday party, Ross mentioned that he had a job opportunity all the way up in Osceola, Wisconsin, a town 5 hours away from Milwaukee. They weren't sure of much, but they were sure that they were going to keep seeing each other. So they did, for two years they drove back and forth from each others apartments, eventually meeting each others friends and families and traveling to new parts of the world together. In August 2024, Daniela and Reina made their move up to Hudson, Wisconsin with Ross where they reside today. Since living together, Daniela and Ross have found new hobbies together and continue cooking dinner together. In August 2025, the Claypools hosted the Alvarezs for a big family meetup in Sheboygan, where Ross had the chance to ask Daniela's parents for their blessing in asking her to marry him. The families hit it off, and both were thrilled to grow. In October 2025, Daniela and Ross took a trip across Europe visiting Prague, Amsterdam, and Paris. Ross carried his heavy backpack with him at every stop. When they finally reached Paris, they went to the Eiffel Tower the first night. They enjoyed Nutella crepes and the beautiful sight from a bench facing the tower, when Ross got on one knee and popped the question. They are so excited to continue to write their love story with you all on October 9, 2026.
