We are so happy to be celebrating love with all of you!

Ross and I met through mutual friends. However, if we weren't both huge band nerds, we wouldn't have been music majors - or even just members of the Texas Tech Goin' Band - we wouldn't have had mutual friends and wouldn't have met. And the thing is that I wasn't technically a music major that first semester, and wasn't even going to do college marching band (until my dad convinced me), and I realized after the first day of classes as a pre-med student that I wasn't in the right place for me. Thanks to my lesson teacher and french horn professor, he made changing my major easy so I wasn't more than a year behind my class, and I was put into music classes. It was actually in our music theory class during our first semester that I developed a crush on him... Isn't it crazy how things just fall into place? Ross wasn't the most social person that first semester (although now he's definitely more popular), but during the second semester, my first friend I made in college (thanks, Kaitlyn Martinez) convinced him to come to the study lounge. That's where we had our first real interaction. Shortly after, it was spring break. I told Kaitlyn about the crush I had on Ross, and she gave me his number. We started texting a lot over that spring break, which at first was friendly, but I easily turned it to flirting. After we got back, Ross and I started to hang out more and more and when classes started back up, we were walking to Symphonic band (we sat two chairs apart, with one of his groomsmen, Ethan, between us), and Ross asked me to be his girlfriend on the practice field on 03/23/2015. He proposed under my favorite tree on campus on 07/15/2018. The gift of music is such a blessing in our lives and even more so that it brought us (and all of our friends) together. We are so excited to be celebrating love and all of the blessings that God has granted us with all of our close friends and family. Thank you for all the ways that you support us.
