The easiest way to get to Santa Monica is to live there. But if you don't live there, flying into LAX is most convenient. It's a short 20 min drive at 8am or a slightly longer 60 min drive at any other time. Ubers and Lyfts are easy and roughly $35 to the city from the airport.
