Singapore has just removed a whole load of restrictions on travel, and at the moment is pretty easy to get into. Some things you'll need to prepare before arriving are: - All your COVID documents, including vaccination certificates, or proof that you've recovered from COVID within 180 days of arriving - Results of either a PCR test or a medically administered or supervised Rapid Antigen Test taken within 2 days of arriving IF you are unvaccinated - Fill in the SG Arrival card 3 days before arriving - Bring some masks for use on public transport We are writing this in September though, so of course it could change! We'll try and update the website with more accurate info but if in doubt, click on the link below. When you finally get here, everything else is very straightforward. Taxis are easy to get and are between $25-30 to the centre of Singapore if you arrive after midnight, before then should be about $5 cheaper!

Alkaff Mansion is in Telok Blangah, to the southwest of Singapore. The closest hotels to Alkaff Mansion are: Travelodge Harbourfront Park Hotel Alexandra However, Singapore is just so tiny, and so easy to get around, that so long as you are staying anywhere in the south, east, west of the island, you'll be able to get to the venue in 15 mins. If you decide to go cray and stay somewhere in the north of singapore, it'll take you 25 mins. Have I mentioned we're a tiny island? Hotels are being cleaned and disinfected all the time so there's no need to worry about that. The biggest thing to think about is when do you want to get to the pool because most hotels still have certain pool slots that need to be booked. So book your hotel, then check if you need to book the pool immediately!

Taxis

Taxis are very reasonable and relatively easy to get. You can go the old skool route (lol) and flag down a taxi (you can't miss them, they have green or red lights at the top, and use meters starting at $4.10). Flagging taxis down can be tough during peak hours, usually they'll just ignore you despite being empty. Or, you could download any of these (non-uber-but-work-like-uber) apps below. You can choose to pay by cash, or put card details in. All you need is access to the internet: Grab Gojek Ryde Tada Zig (aka Comfort del gro, the regular taxis) If any of you are travelling on to other places in Asia like Indonesia, you'll also probably be able to use Grab and Gojek there. Grab also does food delivery here, in case you're ever peckish.
