We’re getting married!

“Most compatible, huh? Let’s find out ” This is the first message ever exchanged between Zane and Rosie. They had no idea that their whole lives were about to change with those six words and accompanying emoji. To this day Rosie and Zane have no idea how Hinge, a dating app, deemed them “most compatible”, but each day they are more thankful than the last. Their conversation from that first day forward continued unceasingly for days before Zane made the move to set up their first in-person meeting. The conversation flowed between them so naturally, Zane and Rosie were beyond excited to meet. October 24th, 2019 was to be the moment of truth, it was time to put the emotional chemistry they had developed to the test. Zane sat alone in the middle of the restaurant, watching the rain pour down outside and wondering if he had misjudged how well he and Rosie had gotten along via text. It was 20 minutes past their agreed meeting time, and Zane was feeling more than a little anxious that he was being stood up. Suddenly, the door opened, and in stepped a soaking wet Rosie. She nervously looked around and a feeling of relief came over Zane as she locked eyes with him across the restaurant and began to make her way over to him. The entire day Rosie was anxiously thinking about their first date. After having such a good time getting to know each other through text, she was eager to see if they would have that spark when meeting for the first time. Rosie will never forget the first time she laid eyes on Zane. He was way more handsome than his profile pictures had led on. While this excited Rosie, it also served to make her extremely nervous. So nervous that her hands trembled the entire dinner (something she was glad Zane didn’t point out until much later). At one point, she excused herself to the bathroom to call her best friend for a pep talk on how to calm herself down in front of this really cute guy and get back out there. Despite not being able to fully relax at dinner, Rosie was able to be herself with the help of some liquid courage at The Usual. They managed to have an amazing time after getting some drinks and getting to know each other better. The evening was full of laughter – one of the qualities they both cherish is how much they can make each other laugh. By the end of the night, they could see that there was indeed something special between them. As he walked her to her car, she wondered if they would have their first kiss in the rain. Zane instead decided to end the date with a smooth high five – something Rosie still hasn’t let him live down to this day. Little did they know this would be their last first date. Now here they are, about to get married, with a lifetime of love and laughter ahead of them. My best friend, my partner, and my lover - September 22nd couldn't get here any sooner. -Zane & Rosie
