Our love story began in the summer of 2021 with a single tap on Bumble—so technically, Rosie made the first move (Bumble only lets women message first!). From the start, conversation came easily, and we quickly realized how many interests we shared. Rosie can laugh at just about anything, and Alex loves to joke; it just worked. At the time, Rosie felt ready for a relationship, but Alex wasn’t. Their timelines simply didn't align, and in hindsight, they had just turned 21, still learning and growing into who they were meant to be. Though it wasn’t easy, we went our separate ways in the spring of 2022. Still, we ended things amicably and stayed connected from afar. Fast forward to July 2023; this time, Alex reached out and he was persistent! Rosie had always had feelings for Alex so it was not long before they started talking again, and from that moment on, everything aligned. After just three months of dating, Alex took Rosie to his family’s hometown in Michoacán, Mexico, where she met a good portion of Alex's family. Rosie had a blast and cherished every moment of the trip. Four months into dating, Rosie planned a Valentine’s Day photoshoot, which became one of our favorite memories and a moment we’ll treasure forever. Alex and Rosie felt like they were in a dream because it “felt too good to be true,” but trusting God, their love flourished like never before. Being with one another, time truly felt different. After 15 months of dating, Alex and his family went over to Rosie's home to ask her family for their blessing. Rosie has always dreamed of being asked in the traditional way! After eighteen months of dating, Alex proposed to Rosie, (something he had known he would do just two weeks into dating!). And of course Rosie said Yes! Every day still feels like the honeymoon stage, not because it’s always easy, but because even in the hard moments, we choose each other. So, God’s timing is always perfect. We trust Him wholeheartedly, knowing He never fails, and He brought us back together right when we both needed each other.
