Just south of La Jolla Village, Bird Rock is a charming coastal neighborhood with a laid-back local vibe. Stroll along La Jolla Boulevard for great coffee at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, pizza and cocktails at Wheat & Water or Beaumont’s, smoothies and açaí bowls at Hermosa Surf, and ocean views from Calumet Park. It’s the perfect spot to grab a bite, shop a little, and catch a sunset.
Go To Windansea Beach
One of San Diego's most beautiful beaches—great for a sunset walk, watching surfers, or relaxing on the rocks. It’s our favorite for a reason!
Visit the Museum of Contemporary Art
Right by the ocean; easy to pair with a walk or coffee.
Hang Out at Kate Sessions Memorial Park
One of the best spots for sweeping views of the ocean and city — especially on a sunny day. Great for a relaxed walk, picnic, or catching the sunset. Dog friendly :)
Shop & Eat at Westfield UTC
An easy go-to if you want food, drinks, or shopping all in one place. It’s close to La Jolla and great for filling time between events. Good spots include Raised by Wolves speakeasy for cocktails, Din Tai Fung for dumplings, and North Italia or True Food Kitchen for a relaxed meal — plus plenty of shopping if you feel like wandering.

One of our favorite spots in La Jolla for healthy, flavorful food with a great atmosphere. Perfect for brunch, lunch, or a relaxed bite during the weekend. Best for smaller parties :)
Eat at El Pescador Fish Market
Zane's favorite for ultra-fresh seafood. You can grab fish to go or have it cooked on the spot. Very laid-back and authentic.
Quick Bite at The Taco Stand
Crowded for a reason — excellent tacos, burritos, and chips. Quick, flavorful, and perfect for a casual bite. The Al Pastor is Monica's fave!
