What is the appropriate dress code for an Indian wedding ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors in the month of August, so it is likely to get really hot. We recommend wearing something colorful, comfortable and formal. (Close to a Sunday brunch attire)

Answer

Time to show-off!! Bring out your best Cocktail Attire/Indian Traditional Wear. We would love it if you could incorporate some GREEN in your dress, but no compulsions.

Can I wear my heels/stilettos at the venue?

Answer

Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast Inn is in the heart of Virginia's horse and wine country. The ceremony will be in the lush green lawns which are not stilleto-friendly. To save your shoes and their lawn, we request to avoid stilletos. The reception will be indoors so you can whatever shoes you would like.

Are there any allergens in the food being served?

Answer

In short YES! It is going to be Indian food which is likely to contain nuts, dairy, gluten. We will have food tags that mentions the allergen contents to the best of our knowledge.

Which is the closest airport to the venue?

Answer

The national capital region has 3 airports in a 50 mile radius, so it can get a little confusing. IAD (Washington Dulles) is the closest airport to the venue. DCA (Ronald Regan) is also not too far and well-connected by metro. BWI (Baltimore Washington) is not recommended since it is the farthest and DC traffic makes it a bad choice.

Answer

Pets are allowed at the venue for no additional fee. However, we request they are kept on a leash at all times.
