What is the dress code?
Answer
A very important question! Because this weekend has a couple different events, we laid out the dress code for each one! See below: Welcome Dinner - Pelican Watch Pavilion Please celebrate in light, breezy, beachy attire! Girls can wear sundresses (short or long), a cute matching set, or an elevated short & top combo! You may want to forego heels, as the party will have access to the pavilion as well as the sandy beach! Guys can wear linen or chino pants/shorts with a nice button down or polo. Light colored attire is preferred, no sport logos. Wedding Day - Lowndes Grove This event is 'Garden Formal'. Please celebrate in lighter colored attire pastels (avoiding reds or blacks). Gals: Midi/Maxi dresses please. Guys: Suits (light colors and pastels are encouraged but not required). Overall florals are encouraged, and if you ever have any questions feel free to ask the bride/groom & wedding party! Beach Celebration - Isle of Palms County Park Back to the beach for some fun & relaxation. Bathing suits are required if you wish to go in the water. You may want to bring a cover-up or tee shirt for your own comfortability!

When should I get to Charleston?
Answer
Everyone is invited to our Welcome Party at the Pelican Watch Pavilion on Thursday at 6pm! However, if you can't join us until Friday, we look forward to seeing you at our ceremony at The River House at Lowndes Grove starting at 5pm (be sure to get to our venue a bit earlier to mingle & find a seat before start time)!

When Should We Arrive At Lowndes Grove On Wedding Day?
Answer
The ceremony will take place promptly at 5pm. Please arrive at the venue (allowing time to park & walk to your seat) at 4:30pm to enjoy music and a light spritz before the ceremony begins.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our wedding ceremony will be outdoors on the lawn of The Lowndes Grove River House under the beautiful Charleston Oaks. We will then transition to cocktail hour which can be enjoyed both indoors at the manor and outdoors if guests wish to explore the grounds! Following this is our outdoor tented reception. This patio area will have a solid ground so heels should be absolutely fine and we will still have access to the indoor portion of Lowndes Grove as well during this time!

Are kids invited to the wedding?
Answer
We absolutely love you and your family to heaven & back but unfortunately we are requesting our wedding ceremony and reception to be a kids free affair. However, we do understand that this is a long distance trip for most and may even be considered a vacation for some! This being said, babies & children are welcome to join us at our Welcome Party (Thursday 9/18) and at our Beach Day Celebration (9/20)! As always, just let us or someone in the wedding party know if your child will be attending either event!

Is there an after-party on the wedding night?
Answer
There is no formally booked wedding after-party as of right now however, Lowndes Grove is a 10 minute drive from King Street which is the hub of Charleston's night life! Please see our 'Things To Do' tab for our favorite bar/night life recommendations!

Are We Allowed To Contact The Bride/Groom With Questions?
Answer
Yes of course! We may be super busy, so answers will likely come later than expected but feel free to just ask us if you have questions! This is an open line of communication and any information coming from Rose or Cameron will be the most accurate!
