FAQs

Question

What are the dates?

Answer

The villa is rented out for 3 days, April 23- 26, 2027. We will be having some fun events, which will be posted at a later date. The wedding will be held on April 24, 2027.

Question

What is the weather like that time of year?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with you at Villa Catignano, a 17th-century villa nestled in the heart of Tuscany’s Chianti wine region, just outside of Siena. Average Highs: ~65–70°F (18–21°C) Average Lows: ~48–52°F (9–11°C) Rain: April can bring a few spring showers, but they’re usually brief—nothing like the steady rains of winter. Daylight: Long days, with the sun setting around 8:00 pm. Perfect for golden hour photos and outdoor dinners. The pool will be open at the villa, but maybe a little chilly!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

The main villa has space to sleep 26-30 guests, with additional side villas on property to also sleep ~ 40 guests. Every one of the rooms/apartments have a kitchennette attached. The property will include a delicious Italian breakfast. We currently are inviting more people than are able to sleep on property.

Question

Can I park my car at the venue?

Answer

If you feel comfortable driving, we recommend renting a car to get around, as Ubers and taxis are less common in the area, and may require some additional wait times. There is a large parking area at the back of the Rustico Luna, which is part of the venue. Access is from the street, and it is connected by foot to the rest of the venue.

Question

What else should I know?

Answer

Tuscany is very walkable, but uneven stone paths and hills are common. Comfortable shoes are your friend. Euros are the currency, and credit cards are widely accepted. Wine lovers: Villa Catignano is surrounded by Chianti vineyards—don’t miss a tasting! If you need transport we recommend using - Florence taxi- +39 055 4390 Siena taxi- https://www.taxisiena.it/en/ or +39 0577 49222

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

- International plug adapter (Italy uses Type C/F, 230V) - Passport - Black-tie attire for the ceremony (tuxedo or evening gown, dress shoes, formal accessories) Our ceremony will be held in the gardens, with dinner to follow in the stone courtyard. As the grounds are a bit uneven, stilettos are not recommended. - Formal outfit for the welcome pizza party (cocktail dress or suit; dressy-but-relaxed) The pizza party will take place in the cottage garden- stilettos are not recommended. - Euros (majority of places will use credit cards, but always helpful to have cash)

Question

Answer
