Where should I stay?

Answer

The venue is in a very central location, so getting to it from anywhere in New Orleans will be an easy drive/rideshare trip. There is a home Saints game on Sunday, so be wary of staying anywhere in the French Quarter or near the Superdome, it will be more crowded than usual and the prices will be higher. I recommend staying uptown or in midcity. If you prefer to be close to the French Quarter, the warehouse district would be a good option as well. I will be staying at Hotel Tonnelle on St. Charles and have a block reserved there (see the travel section for a link).

Can I wear a white shirt under my suit jacket?

Answer

No! None of your visible clothing should be white, black, gray or brown.

Can my shoes be black?

Answer

Yes, although monochrome is the preference, accessories and shoes/socks are the exception to the rule, they may be any color.

Does my jewelry have to be the same color as my outfit?

Answer

No, accessories like jewelry, purse, shoes, socks and hair items are the exception to the rule, they can be any color.

Does my partner/date have to wear the same color as me?

Answer

No, matching is encouraged, but not required ;)

Is there an after party?

Answer

Obviously! We will most likely continue the party at a bar in the French Quarter. Details will be finalized before the end of the party, so if you want to join, make sure to keep an ear out for that announcement.
