This is hands-down our favorite brunch spot and well worth the wait! We almost always go halfsies on the BELCH and the seasonal French toast.
Allie Boy’s Bagelry & Luncheonette
Besides Mel's homemade bagel, we think these are the best bagels in MKE! Their breakfast sandwiches finely walk the line of inventive but not overly complicated.
Boone & Crockett
This riverside bar has a cozy vibe inside and great views of the Hoan bridge on their patio! We're always coming up with excuses to make it out here, especially when the weather is nice.

This Asian fusion with the most fantastic name is a great evening spot, we recommend the smashed cucumber salad!
Milwaukee Art Museum
Designed by the same architect as the Sydney Opera House, this museum is worth a visit for the building itself (with great art inside to boot)!
The Daily Bird
This is our go-to coffee shop in our Riverwest neighborhood. We walked in the morning after our engagement and word had already got to the baristas, who gave us our drinks on the house - really makes us feel like part of the community going here. Try their vegan bakery!
Art*Bar
Art*Bar is our neighborhood bar, and if you go in you'll see why. Affordable drinks with art covering the walls from local artists (available for purchase), this is our go-to spot in the summer to bike to and grab a drink and a bite from their sister restaurant Wonderland. If you like to stay busy, they have a trifecta of billiards, darts and pinball to keep you occupied. Dan recommends a Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet, with a Chicken Banh Mi from Wonderland!
Lakefront Brewery
Located a few minutes from our place, we love to stroll here for a drink or two on nice days. Their new-ish patio is a great place to watch kayakers and rowdy pontoon boats go by. Dan recommends their Agave Sun beer!
