We first briefly met at Westminster High School. I was a junior and Alex was a senior. We went on to live separate lives until years later when fate intervened and brought us back into each other’s lives (with a bonus beautiful boy, Fletcher Kane Clouse). A chance encounter (Facebook friend request) sparked a renewed connection between us. As we caught up on lost time, we discovered that our interests, values, and dreams had aligned in unexpected ways. What started as a brief acquaintance in high school transformed into a deep and lasting bond, proving that sometimes, the best relationships are worth the wait.

Alex proposed to me in one of my favorite cities with some of our favorite people, right before seeing one of our favorite artist perform live in concert. It was the best day of my life.
