Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Rosemary Wahlquist and Michael Simonson
In addition to Downtown Denver, the surrounding metro has a few great hangout spots. Check out a brief description of each area below, and a list of some of our favorite places. *Parker* Looking to stay close to the wedding area? Parker is a suburb with a little main street including restaurants, bars with music, or parks. *Denver* Looking to check out the Mile-High City? We have five major league sports, five Michelin star restaurants, the 16th-street mall, and Union Station. *Golden* Looking to get closer to the mountains? We recommend Golden Mill, shopping on Washington Ave, or hiking/driving around Lookout Mountain! *Estes Park* Looking to get even closer to mountains?! Estes park is fairly easy to get to and the closest town to Rocky Mountain National Park. If you're visiting for more than just the weekend, we strongly recommend getting out to explore this area! - more details below!

Denver Botanic Gardens

*NOTE*: RMNP currently has a timed entry reservation system during the summer. Timed entry reservations will be available through www.recreation.gov following the below schedule: Beginning at 8 a.m. MT on Thursday, May 1. This round of reservations will be available to enter the park from May 23 through June 30. The next release will occur on June 1, for the month of July and any remaining days that have not been booked for June. If you are unable to make a timed entry reservation in advance, a number of additional reservations will be released on Recreation.gov at 7 p.m. MDT the night before a desired arrival date. It is best to plan ahead when possible, as night before reservations will sell out quickly. We recommend getting the "Timed Entry+Bear Lake Road" reservation.

Garden of the Gods

Located about an hour south of Parker, Garden of the Gods is another scenic hiking space. Terrain varies from very beginner friendly to advanced depending on what you're looking for. It's also free!
