Things To Do

New to Columbia? Haven't visited for awhile? Here's some amazing places and restaurants to check out!!
The Big Tree

The Big Tree

Burr Oak Road, Columbia, MO 65203

A historical landmark of the Columbia area, this oak tree is nearly 400 years old and is tied for the oldest of its species in the U.S. The trunk is a whopping 2.3 meters in diameter and is part of the Lewis and Clark trail. Many have have embraced its presence in nature and some even watch the night sky from its vicinity.

The Arcade District

The Arcade District

602 Fay Street, Columbia, MO 65201

THIS is the place to be for a fun time and great food! Easily recognized at night by it's purple lights, the Arcade District has been up and coming in the industrial heart surrounding downtown Columbia with art by Adrienne Luther. Grab a bite to eat at Beetbox during the day, maybe a cocktail or two at Six Mile Ordinary distillery; and be sure to go to Witches and Wizards Arcade at night with some amazing grub at Irene's! Can't recommend this enough - We always have a blast!!

MKT Nature/Fitness Trail

MKT Nature/Fitness Trail

M-K-T Nature/Fitness Trail (Columbia to McBaine), Columbia, MO

The two of us have been on this trail together and love it! We have seen fish, red squirrels, a turtle, deer, and even naked ladies! (They should be in full bloom by May)

Ernie's Cafe

Ernie's Cafe

1005 East Walnut Street, Columbia, MO 65201
, (573) 874-7804

Open everyday from 6:30am - 2:00pm, this affordable breakfast and lunch café is simply delicious! It is the first restaurant we ever ate at together and have traditionally visited each time we are both in Columbia. <3
