We first met at a Cru event in NJCU. We lost contact for years. We then reconnected again via a dating app called Hinge on January 1, 2022. We've been talking ever since!

Israel decided to make our first Valentine's Day special. He planned the whole evening. He picked me up, we went to dinner and then went to see a movie. After the movies, he gave me a beautiful gift and a heartfelt speech. After his speech, he asked me to be his girlfriend and we shared our first kiss!

Where do I begin?! He had this evening also planned out. During our dates, we oftentimes ended up at Eagle Rock to have deep, meaningful conversations. This night, I thought it wasn't different. We first went to Eagle Rock and it was empty just for us! I still had no idea. We sat, talked and played a card game (as usual)! As we played our card game, one of the questions was "Could you see yourself spending the rest of your life with me? Why or why not?" As I read this question, the song Marry Me by Thomas Rhett was playing in the background. I was still clueless. He told me there was something "faulty" about the card I was reading. As I tried to figure out what was wrong with it, I realized that there were two cards taped together. When I lifted up the first card, underneath was written: "Tesoro, will you marry me? 10/4/23?" The rest was history!
