The Dane County Farmer's Market is the country's largest producer's only farmers market, so if you have some time to kill on Saturday morning, we highly recommend taking a walk around! We've never made it home without a loaf of Stella's Hot & Spicy Cheese Bread...
The Terrace is a favorite spot for both UW students and locals to sit by Lake Mendota, enjoy a beer, burger and live music and watch the sailboats go by. It's a bit of a walk to get to, but if you have some time and the sun is shining, it's a great place to relax!
The Wisconsin State Capitol, houses both chambers of the Wisconsin legislature along with the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Office of the Governor. It's open to the public weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Free tours are offered daily, year round and the sixth floor museum and observation deck are open during the summer months! Bonus: it's right in the center of the Dane County Farmer's Market.
