Meet us in Detroit

In December 2021, James’s sister, who had been a longtime client of Brittany, introduced the two, certain they would get along. The night before Brittany left for vacation, they connected on FaceTime and ended up talking late into the night. A few hours later, James called again, making sure she was awake for her early flight. He offered to pick her up from the airport when she returned, and on December 22nd, 2021, they officially met at the McNamara Terminal at DTW. Even James' family was surprised. Picking someone up from the airport? They joked that if James was willing to deal with airport traffic for a girl, it must be serious. And they were right. From that moment on, they were inseparable, even though James lived in a tiny town an hour away that Brittany, from Ann Arbor, had never even heard of. She was sure the distance would be their downfall, but by April 2022, she was mostly moved in. Their golden retriever, Luca, was born on their 1 year anniversary, 12/22/22, and came home with them in March 2023. In August 2023, Brittany finally convinced James to move back to civilization, and they settled into a home in Brighton. In July 2024, they joyously found out they were expecting. Fast forward to March 20th, 2025, James proposed at home, immediately after picking up the custom ring he designed. Only two hours later, Brittany spontaneously went into labor, and James received the best present ever when they welcomed their son, James Dean, on his birthday, March 21st, 2025. Now here they are, planning the wedding of their dreams with all their favorite people. <3
