One thing we love doing is going on hikes or adventures. Andrew knows it helps me relax and gets me out of my head because I stress over everything. We had been going somewhere once every week. On November 4, 2023 he planned for us to go on a hike. This time my little sister was going with us though which had me questioning it because it was usually just us. I also knew that he had asked my dad for his blessing to marry me so that didn't make things any better lol. As we were walking on this trail (that wasn't much of a trail) I had cleared my mind and was thinking about how beautiful and peaceful it was out there. Nothing else was on my mind. We get to this little waterfall and Andrew says "well it usually has more water than that, but it's okay." I still thought it was pretty cool. Even though there was just a little stream it was beautiful. We start taking pictures and then he asks Hadley to take a picture of us. We take one of us smiling and then I want to take a goofy one so I'm flipping the camera off. As I'm doing that Andrew is reaching into his pocket for the ring. I had no idea. Nature calms me so I was absolutely loving it out there. He eventually turns me around, gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him. Of course my answer was yes! I give him my hand and we both realize I gave him the wrong hand lol. I give him the correct hand but we'll always remember I gave the wrong one first because it was caught on video. It was one of the best days of my life and I'll always remember every detail.
