We're getting married!

We first met in 8th grade, when we wound up in the same homeroom and study hall. At the time, it was nothing out of the ordinary; just two awkward middle schoolers pretending not to notice each other. During our freshman year of high school, things shifted. On January 1st, 2015, Dan asked me to be his girlfriend, starting the new year and a new relationship together. We grew up side by side throughout high school, making memories and reaching milestones together. From having our parents drive us back and forth to spend time together, to taking driving lessons together, or Dan sitting through many dance recitals and Abby through endless hours of baseball. We celebrated our high school graduation together in 2018, and spent the summer side by side, getting ready to take on our next chapter. For the next four years, we navigated long distance during college; phone calls instead of car rides, visits instead of everyday moments, patience instead of proximity. Through every visit, phone call, and countdown, we continued to choose each other. After graduating in 2022 and 2023, we made our way back home and took the next big step. Moving in together turned all those years of waiting into something tangible; shared space, shared routines, shared mornings and nights that no longer had to end with a goodbye. From middle school classrooms to building a home together, our story has been one of growing up, growing together, and never letting distance—or time—get in the way of what we knew we had. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.
