Maid of Honor
Rosana and I met when we both joined Human Options as Therapists. Through all our time together we became more than just co-workers. Wesley may be my future husband but Rosana is the original work wife! She's helped me through so much to make sure my "crazy" doesn't show. She's like my Yoda.
Bridesmaid
Jenny is my oldest niece. We spent our whole childhoods together! Not only do we look alike, but we also think alike because we both pursued careers in social work. She's been a part of many special days in life, from my quinceñera and now to my wedding.
Bridesmaid
Lori is my youngest niece. People used to think she, her sister, and I were triplets! One of the things that always drives us together is our passion to dance. We would even put on little performances for our family when we were little! Now we'll get to dance the night away at my wedding.
Bridesmaid
Martiza is one third of The Three Amigas! We met during our studies at UCSD and even joined ballet folklorico together. She's been a part of my life since then. Not even distance can keep us apart...she'll be coming all the way from New York to be part of my special day.
Bridesmaid
Melissa is also part of The Three Amigas! We also met at UCSD and danced folklorico together with Maritza. She is always up for an adventure! Now she'll be there to join me while I start a new chapter in my life.
Best Man
My brother. He's the best little brother anyone could ever have, and often better than I deserve. He's put up with me through pranks and all. Blake has always been there for me, through thick and thin, whenever I need someone to listen he's my go to guy. There's nobody I'd rather turn to for the all important role of being my best man and I consider myself a lucky guy to be his big brother.
Groomsman
Al was my roommate for a majority of college. He and I initially bonded over the Vikings and sports in general. I couldn't have found a better roommate or friend. I enjoyed a road trip with Al to Miami and he even lived at my place after college for a while. He's been one of my best friends pretty much the whole time I've known him. We're even on the same flag football team now!
Groomsman
Natty and I initially met while I was going to Cal Poly Pomona and he was going to Mt. SAC. I don't know if it was his dreadlocks, respectful nature, or his brilliant mind that made me want to be his friend - must be all of the above. I enjoyed a cross-country road trip with him when he moved to Rhode Island to attend Brown University back in 2013, but I'm glad he moved back to Cali to finish his Doctorate.
Groomsman
Nolan is my cousin, he was like a 2nd little brother to me while we were growing up. He was always a good sport whenever I would torture him and my brother, but the best was when all 3 of us would team up to play pranks on my grandma or our other cousins Alison and Sophia. Even though Nolan lives on the East Coast now, anytime we get together I still have a great time with him.
Groomsman
Nick was basically my first friend growing up. He and I played team sports together and when Pokemon was released we would just spend hours upon hours playing and catching 'em all. He was in the AP Stats class when I met Rose (sitting in the back next to me) and so I also have to give him credit (along with our mutual friend Fidel) for encouraging me to ask out the woman who I'm now about to marry.
Officiant
Denny is one of my older brothers. He's always kept me on my toes: from offering his words of wisdom to scaring the crap out of me growing up. He has been such an important influence in my life! Now he'll be there on my special day to marry Wesley and I.
Flower Girl
Dulce went from being my little sister to my little daughter. She is such a sweet and funny young girl. She is always offering Wesley and I advice! She suggests ideas from how we can communicate with each other to how we can dress better. Now she'll be able to give us advice for our wedding day.
Ring Bearer
Jose also went from my little brother to my little son. He always makes us laugh! He also teaches Wesley and I how to stay hip and modern. Now he'll get to show us the latest dance moves at our wedding.
