It was five in the morning at your friendly neighborhood Trader Joe's. Sam was newly hired and Rose was a seasoned veteran. She was opening the bread section and he was being trained in the next section over. Sam's trainer introduced the two of us. His first impression was that Rose was cute, funny and "he liked her hair" and her first impression of Sam was that he was cute, sweet and quiet (but now she knows he was just a bit nervous talking to her and he's not a morning person). We both made lasting first impressions because both of us would go out of our way to talk to the other. Sam had a more subtle, slow and steady plan of action for getting to know Rose but she knew what she wanted and she wasn't wasting time. Rose changed her schedule from only opening shifts to half opening and half closing just to see Sam more often. When he worked an evening and she didn't, she would often come in "to get bread" but really just to talk to Sam about anything and everything. While she thought she was being really clear about liking Sam, Sam was not getting it and remained oblivious this whole time. She decided to go even further and leave him a note one morning for him to see when he got to work that afternoon asking him what days he worked and when he was free. The next morning when she got to work her locker had a note that said "hey whats your snap-chat? -Sam Mac." When she saw him next she gave him her instagram instead and we started messaging and then swapped numbers. About a week after Sam's note to her, we went on a cute thrift shop date. Being together always felt natural and meant to be from our very first introduction up and she is really glad she was so persistent with Sam because he's worth all the trouble and more. He's also glad that Rose was persistent because now he gets to spend the rest of his life with the most amazing girl in the world and he wouldn't have it any other way.
