* The Maryland State House is the oldest state capitol in continuous legislative use and is the only state house ever to have served as the nation's capitol. You can take a self-guided tour for free! * Maryland Ave, which is right by the State House, has old cobblestone streets and some local shops to visit. * Main Street is where most people visit. Lots of stores and restaurants to explore. It will bring you to the water. * (For the kids) There is a nice public playground close to the water and the church called Newman Street Park.
