While our first communication was over the well known dating app Tinder, our first date was a memorable sunset dinner at Top of the Hill in Chapel hill back in August of 2019. That evening, the warm conversation and laughs lasted past closing time, unbeknownst to us, until the staff had to ask us to leave. After almost a year of spending time together on and off, we always ended up back with each other. We made things official in the late summer of 2020. This would prelude countless adventures, personal growth, moves, MANY fishing trips, new jobs, and delicious recipes made together. On a snowy day in January of 2022, under an old growth oak, James proposed to Rose, and while she can't even recall cause she blacked out from excitement, she said YES. Shortly after being engaged, we moved to the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina and spent almost 2 years there. There we continued to fall more in love with each other and the landscape. We knew it was where we wanted to share our wedding with you, our dear friends and family. We are overjoyed to write this important next chapter of our lives with all of you included, in our favorite place. Soon we will move to the mountains of New Mexico for a short time, the beginning of many years of new places, exciting experiences, and love.
