The Wedding Website of Rose Kenna Wall and Ian James Jakus

We met through mutual friends during the winter of 2016 at a nondescript sports bar in Cambridge. Though the venue was ordinary, the company was exceptional. We connected over our shared love of jazz and passion for community food access. Rose bewitched Ian with a description of her prowess on the standup bass (a rather bold exaggeration) and he piqued her interest with his witty remarks and eye for spotting the best nacho on the group plate. An interest in complimentary snacks is crucial for a love match! On our first date we saw live music, took a wintery stroll, and bought a lottery ticket. Nine short months later, we gambled again and moved to Vermont! We’ve been happily strolling together ever since. Five years, a house, and a dog later… Ian unexpectedly got down on one knee in our backyard in front of our families to ask Rose to be his adventuring partner for life. This summer, we will celebrate our marriage with a spectacular live band reminiscent of that perfect first date.
