The two of us met during Sophomore year in college when Brian's fraternity came from UC Riverside to UC Berkeley to start a new chapter and Rose's sorority was there to show support. However, our interaction wasn't much more than the passing hellos and adding each other on social media. A couple years after graduation, we met again at Coachella 2015. We bonded over our love for beer and League of Legends. Though we connected then, life got busy and we didn't keep in contact for months until one random day, Brian reached out (pretty much cold-calling) about a Halloween music festival in SoCal. The two of us met up (again), discovered our mutual undying competitiveness and passion for beer pong, and the rest is history. Brian finally made the relationship official when he asked Rose to be his girlfriend on the Ferris wheel at Coachella 2016. GG.
With the help from a couple of our friends, while we were on vacation in Hawaii, Brian popped the question at Sunset Beach, North Shore, Honolulu. With over 5 years of long distance relationship, we always look forward to our short vacation reunions. The two of us have been lucky enough to have traveled to many places all over the globe, but Hawaii was always our favorite escape. It holds a special place in our heart and was the perfect location for the proposal.
